Current state

Last taxes in 1996 with 11,500m on the clock and plenty of dust and clag where everything got dirty and sticky.

A quick clean and I'll work through my pre-start work list:
  1. Plugs out
    • A drop of 2 stroke oil in to the cylinders.
    • Leave to sit over night to soak the rings.
  2. Tank off
    • clean out all the old fuel from lines and filter etc.
  3. Service the petcock and switch cables. It's rock solid and no one makes these ones any more! 
    • Drilled out the rivets and cleaned inside.
    • Replaced all gaskets and O-rings.
    • Tapped an M4
  4. Filter and pump were all gummed up. 
    1. A squirt of brake cleaner wouldn't free up the pump so a dribble of WD-40 to soak over night and it's all good again!
  5. Battery check and charge.
    • It's dead! New one ordered
